Front Tooth Implant
PERMANENT DENTAL IMPLANTS FOR FRONT TEETH
Placement of front implants is considerably more difficult and can also be more expensive than posterior implants. The bone is often thinner and less dense than in other areas of the mouth. If a tooth has been missing for a long period of time or if a tooth never developed in a spot, orthodontics and grafting will be considered for your individualized treatment plan every time. Smaller implants, customized ceramic abutment posts, and computer-guided implant surgery will virtually always be used for your treatment. The upper front jaw bone (maxilla) is susceptible to rapid deterioration should a tooth be removed incorrectly, should a tooth socket fail to be preserved with grafting, or should a poor implant placement result in loss and bone resulting in the need for more surgery and a different implant.

Snap-on Implant Tooth
Snap-on implant teeth are full arch dentures or partial dentures that rest partially on the gums and are connected to snaps on implants. These are vastly different from traditional dentures and partials because they just hold so much better. This is the most affordable style of implant teeth we can offer.
Single Tooth Implant
When one tooth is missing, a dental implant can serve as a total tooth replacement. Instead of the tooth root, Dr. Haywood places a titanium dental implant into the area where the former root used to live. After this heals for about 8 weeks, a post and a crown are custom designed to be placed on your implant that is now strong and secure in your bone. A single tooth implant looks and acts just like one of your own teeth.
BEFORE & AFTER
TESTIMONIALS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can you get a front tooth implant?
Absolutely. Front tooth dental implants are a great option for replacing a missing front tooth and are suitable for most patients.
How long does it take to get a front tooth implant?
Your dentist will surgically place the implant (titanium post) in your jaw bone, taking an hour or two to complete for each implant being placed. After this step is complete, Dr. Haywood might wait about three months before the final restoration of the tooth replacement.
How long does it take for a front tooth implant to heal?
In most cases, it takes anywhere from two to eight months for a dental implant to heal enough for you to resume your daily routine without assistance. However, every patient is different, and it can take longer, especially if bone grafting is involved.
How painful is a front tooth implant?
You can expect not to feel any pain during your dental implant procedure, as Dr. Haywood will have numbed your nerves. You will, however, feel a little pressure at times, but it should not cause you discomfort. Oral sedation is available for patients who have dental anxiety.
Can a missing front tooth be replaced?
Absolutely! Although there are replacement options such as a dental bridge or removable denture, dental implants are the ideal option currently available for replacing a missing front tooth.
How long do front teeth implants last?
The implant screw in the jaw bone can last a lifetime with regular brushing and flossing and professional dental check-ups every three months. There is a possibility that the crown may need to be replaced every ten to fifteen years due to wear and tear.
